Injurytime Physiotherapy Ltd.

"Locating in Rubislaw Den has been a good move for me personally and professionally, and when a business associate mentioned that this is the nicest physiotherapist offices he’s been to, that’s a bonus.”

Location: Queen's Gardens, Aberdeen

Room Size: 420 sqft

With offices in Bridge of Don, Peterhead and Aberdeen City, Jenny Johnson runs her team of four staff and three students providing physiotherapy treatments for injuries and conditions for muscles and joints. She’s worked with pop stars, celebrities, footballers and dancers. The business has been going strong since 1992, and the Aberdeen arm of the company has been based at Skene Business Centres' Rubislaw Den North property since March 2023. Injurytime rents a relatively large space, at 420squft square foot.

"We offer our services in Aberdeen six days a week, with an additional one day in Bridge of Don and four in Peterhead,’ says Jenny. ‘I moved the company to SBC when we were seeking more space. I’d looked at lots of office rentals but I need ground floor access and easy parking very close to the building because our clients attend with injuries/conditions that are often painful. I wanted to be somewhere small enough to be friendly, but big enough to be professional.’

‘In this space we created two treatment rooms. We have a large space for exercise where clients can jump, twist and stretch out as necessary. Plus we swapped out the carpet tiles for wooden flooring that lighten up the room. I love the huge windows here, I sometimes even see deer in the gardens.’

The amenities and works provided by SBC allow Jenny to focus on growing her business.

“All maintenance is taken care of. If the phone lines or internet go down SBC fix it, they maintain the gardens and car park, and take care of Health & Safety aspects, fire-testing etc. The building is very clean, it’s safe and secure, and there seems to always be someone here. We have complete control of our business timetable, working 0900-1900, so the cleaners come in at 8pm.’

‘You always know you can contact the SBC staff directly and they’ll respond swiftly. They’re easy to deal with and very respectful i.e. they notify us when the window cleaners will be on site, which matters when clients are exercising or in treatment rooms.’

‘One all-inclusive monthly bill works for me. The only extras I pay are induction fees when I take on a new student or staff member. Locating in Rubislaw Den has been a good move for me personally and professionally, and when a business associate mentioned that this is the nicest physiotherapist offices he’s been to, that’s a bonus.”
